Kids who struggle socially have been in many social situations but continue to struggle. Social skills groups just repeat these experiences and rarely work unless the child is ready and the groups are properly designed and guided. We work on individual counseling first, creating readiness, and then introduce them to groups to help them apply these social skills.
We want to see long-term results, so we teach how to think in social situations. We also teach emotional regulation tools to help children cope with strong emotions and impulses that can impact friendships.

Duration: 3 weeks - Tues/Thurs
Length of each session: Depending on ages, 1.5 - 2 hour groups.
About the groups: Grouped by age; 6-8 kids/group
